Mohammad Nikpey and Mohammad Eshtak, two citizens from Marivan, were transferred to Mariwan Prison after being arrested for the purpose of enforcing their final prison sentences.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, Mohammad Nikpey and Mohammad Eshtak, two Kurdish citizens of Marivan, were arrested to serve their prison sentences and transferred to the prison of this city.
The arrest of these two citizens was carried out to enforce the final verdict issued by the Marivan Revolutionary Court, and both were transferred to Marivan Prison after their arrest.
Mohammad Nikpey and Mohammad Eshtak were tried in the summer of the current year at the Marivan Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Rouhi, on the charge of “propaganda against the system.” According to the issued verdict, each of them was sentenced to two months and fifteen days of discretionary imprisonment and three months of suspended imprisonment. The basis of the charges against these two citizens was stated as “organizing and participating in Nowruz 2025 ceremonies.”
In April of the current year, Mohammad Eshtak and Mohammad Nikpey, both from the village of “Ni” in Marivan County, were arrested after being summoned to the Intelligence Department of this county and were temporarily released after some time upon posting bail.
Mohammad Nikpey has previously also been arrested and served prison time due to his activities.
