Javanroud; Temporary release of six civil and environmental activists on bail

Mahan Azami, Adib Salekhor, Kamran Moradi, Mohammad Hejrani, Hiva Vaisi, and Yahya Darvishi, six civil and environmental activists from Javanroud County, were temporarily released on bail after 15 days of detention.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, Mahan Azami, Adib Salekhor, Kamran Moradi, Mohammad Hejrani, Hiva Vaisi, and Yahya Darvishi, six civil and environmental activists from Javanroud, were temporarily released on bail after about two weeks of detention.

According to Kolbarnews, these individuals were arrested on the evening of Saturday, January 17, 2026, by security forces in Javanroud without the presentation of a judicial warrant and were transferred to an unknown location.
It is said that the arrest of these activists was related to their civil and environmental activities.

During their detention, these six activists were denied family visits and effective legal follow-up, and their conditions of detention and arrest raised concerns.
