The wave of arrests in Mahabad has intensified over the past four days, with the detention of Karzan Bahmani, bringing the total number of detainees to at least nine. All have reportedly been transferred to undisclosed locations.
According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Wednesday, December 10, 2025, security forces raided the home of Karzan Bahmani, son of Rasoul, from the village of Khorkhoreh in Mahabad, and arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant.
His arrest raises the number of recently detained individuals in Mahabad to nine.
The names of those arrested are: Aram Jamshidoun, Mohammad Mostafa, Kazem Azdeh, Naser Azarm, Akam Sheikhe-Marshe, Hejar Mohammadzadeh Aghdam, Iman Mohammadzadeh, Saman Ghorbani, and Karzan Bahmani.
On December 10 alone, five citizens were detained in Mahabad.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the whereabouts of the detainees, or any charges filed against them.
