Shahram Karimi, Loghmanollah Moradi, Soleiman Abdi, Parviz Ahsani, Kaveh Mohammadzadeh, Hiwa Qureshi, and Omid Shahmohammadi, teacher union activists from Saqqez and Divandarreh have been subjected to disciplinary rulings by the Appeals Board for Administrative Violations of the Ministry of Education. The rulings include suspension from service, dismissal from the Ministry of Education, and forced retirement with demotion.

According to Kolbarnews, citing the Coordinating Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations, in recent days the Appeals Board for Administrative Violations of the Kurdistan Provincial Department of Education issued rulings against seven teachers from Saqqez and Divandarreh.
According to the report Shahram Karimi has been sentenced to six months of suspension from service. Loghmanollah Moradi has been sentenced to one year of suspension from service. Soleiman Abdi has been sentenced to forced retirement with a two-grade job demotion.
Parviz Ahsani, Kaveh Mohammadzadeh, Hiwa Qureshi, and Omid Shahmohammadi four members of the Divandarreh Teachers’ Trade Association have been dismissed from their jobs.
Previously, Omid Shahmohammadi, Parviz Ahsani, Kaveh Mohammadzadeh, and Hiwa Qureshi had already been sentenced by the Primary Board for Administrative Violations of the Kurdistan Provincial Department of Education to dismissal and exile.
The issued rulings are in response to these teachers’ trade union activities and the teachers’ association elections held in May 2024.
It is worth noting that Omid Shahmohammadi, Soleiman Abdi, and Loghmanollah Moradi had previously faced judicial actions due to their professional and union-related activities.
