Kermanshah; Death of Dr. Pedram Argha During Nationwide Protests

Dr. Pedram Argha, a 31-year-old man from Kermanshah, lost his life during nationwide protests in the city after being directly shot with live ammunition by government forces.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Dr. Pedram Argha, a 31-year-old Yarsan man from Kermanshah, was directly shot with live ammunition by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests in Kermanshah, in the Maskan neighborhood, and lost his life.

Dr. Pedram Argha, son of Foroud, was a dentist, and his dental clinic was located in the Maskan neighborhood of Kermanshah. His body was buried on January 18, 2026, at the Sarab-e Tiran Cemetery.

As of the time of preparing this report, it is not known whether the family was required to pay money or sign a written pledge in order to receive the body of this deceased citizen. However, informed sources had previously told Kolbarnews that government institutions in Kermanshah have demanded amounts ranging from 700 million tomans to one billion tomans from families in exchange for handing over the bodies of those killed, forcing families to pay these sums.
