Islamabad-e Gharb; Arrest of Ali Balaei, Brother of One of the Victims of Public Protests

Ali Balaei, a citizen from Islamabad-e Gharb and the brother of Shirzad Balaei, one of the victims of the 2026 public protests, was arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, Ali Balaei was arrested by security forces without presenting any judicial warrant in Farhangian Square in Islamabad-e Gharb and transferred to an unknown location.

Shirzad Balaei, his brother, was a 42-year-old young man from Islamabad-e Gharb who lost his life on Thursday, January 8, 2026, after being directly shot in the head by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during public protests in the city.
