After 26 days since the arrest of Behrouz Basreh, a citizen from Ilam, there is still no information regarding his place of detention or his physical and legal condition, and concerns about the life and fate of this citizen have severely increased.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, security forces raided the parental home of Behrouz Basreh in the “Saadi” neighborhood of Ilam and arrested this 37-year-old citizen without presenting any judicial warrant and transferred him to an unknown location.
Despite family follow-ups, no clear response has so far been provided regarding his place of detention.
Based on received information, security institutions, as part of the continuation of the repression process, have published videos containing alleged forced confessions attributed to Behrouz Basreh, in which it was claimed that he had connections with “opposition parties to the Iranian government.”
The publication of such confessions, which has previously occurred during past waves of repression of protesters, is usually first broadcast through official government media and then republished through networks and pages affiliated with security institutions, including on platforms such as Rubika.
During the 26 days of his arbitrary detention, Behrouz Basreh has been completely deprived of the right to access a lawyer and meet with his family. The continuation of this complete lack of information has caused serious concern among his family and relatives regarding his physical health and his unknown fate.
