France: Killing of Two Kurdish Refugees in a Shooting at a Refugee Camp

In a shooting by an armed individual at a refugee camp, five people, including two Kurdish refugees, were killed.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, December 14, 2024, a 22-year-old armed man opened fire at a refugee camp in Dunkirk, France. As a result, five individuals, including two Kurdish refugees from the city of Marivan, lost their lives.

The report states that the perpetrator surrendered himself to a police station in northern France after committing the act.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and no information about the motives of the shooter has yet been released.

The identities of the two Kurdish refugees from Marivan remain unknown at this time.

It is also worth noting that two security guards assigned to protect the camp were among those killed in the shooting.
