Evin Prison: Several Female Political Prisoners Denied Visitation Rights

A group of female political prisoners in Evin Prison has been denied visitation rights following their sit-in protest against the transfer of two political prisoners, Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, to Qezel Hesar Prison.

According to Kolbernews, the ban applies to both in-person and cabin visits and was officially communicated to the prisoners by Heydatollah Farzadi, the warden of Evin Prison.

The female political prisoners affected by this decision include:
Azar Korvandi, Reyhaneh Ansari-Nejad, Forough Taghipour, Shiva Esmaeili, Maryam Yahyavi, Golrokh Iraee, Sakineh Parvaneh, Zahra Safaei, Marzieh Farsi, Tahereh Nouri, Motahareh Gonei, Nahid Khodajo, Elaheh Fouladi, Nasrin Khezri, Anisha Asadollahi, and Samaneh Asghari.

This restriction will take effect on February 3, 2025, and will last for three weeks.
