Dashtiari; A Baloch Sukhtbar killed during military clashes

A Baloch Sukhtbar was killed after a drone struck his boat during military clashes in the Kolani River in Dashtiari County.

According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Saturday, March 7, 2026, during military and drone clashes between Iran, Israel, and the United States in the Kolani River area of Dashtiari County, a Baloch Sukhtbar lost his life.

The identity of this Sukhtbar has been reported as Tayyeb Baluch, son of Mohammad Hassan, from the village of Genz, a district of Jiwani in the Balochistan province of Pakistan.

According to informed sources, a drone that had been launched during the recent clashes in the area collided with the boat of this fuel carrier while he was traveling along the river, and as a result of the incident the Baloch citizen was killed.

According to the information received, it is still not precisely known which side involved in the conflict the drone belonged to.

The body of this Baloch Sukhtbar was buried yesterday afternoon in his hometown.

Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars.According to the 2025 annual report of the Baluchistan Human Rights Documentation Network, at least 262 Sukhtbars were killed or injured. Of these, 173 Sukhtbars lost their lives due to gunfire by military forces, road accidents during pursuits by security forces, or explosions caused by mines planted by the IRGC, while 89 others were injured. Four child Sukhtbars were among those killed.
