The secretary of the Monitoring, Observation, and Management Center for Social Issues in Tehran has announced the identification of 3,000 child workers in the city.
According to Kolbarnews, Abdolmajid Rahmani, the secretary of the center, stated that over the past nine months, this number of child workers has been identified across Tehran. He highlighted the collaboration of organizations such as the Welfare Organization, Tehran Municipality, the Police, the Bureau of Foreign Nationals, and the Judiciary in efforts to organize these children.
Rahmani also emphasized that the majority of these child workers are Afghan nationals, and he stressed the necessity for the Bureau of Foreign Nationals to take appropriate action in this regard. The mobility of these children has been identified as one of the main challenges in the process of organizing them.
