Hemin Qolizadeh, a resident of Bukan, was sent to Bukan Prison in late May/early June of this year to serve his two-year prison sentence.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, Hemin Qolizadeh, a resident of Bukan, was transferred to the city’s central prison to begin serving a two-year discretionary prison sentence.
Mr. Qolizadeh had previously been sentenced by Branch 101 of the Bukan Criminal Court to two years in prison on charges of “collaboration with one of the Kurdish opposition parties.”
In the same case, his father, Abdullah Qolizadeh, was acquitted of the charges brought against him.
On Saturday, December 1, 2024, Hemin Qolizadeh and his father were arrested by security forces in Bukan and transferred to a security detention facility in Urmia for interrogation.
The security agents raided their home without presenting a judicial warrant and used violence during the arrest.
