Bukan; Continued Detention of Two Citizens After 52 Days

Rahim Shilani and Azad Rasoulifard, two residents of Bukan, after 52 days of detention, have been transferred to Bukan Prison following torture and interrogation in security detention centers and are still being held in an uncertain condition.

According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, January 30, 2026, Azad Rasoulifard, son of Rahim, born in 1980, and Rahim Shilani, son of Othman, born in 1975, were arrested in Bukan without a judicial warrant by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to obtained information, these two citizens were subjected to interrogations accompanied by torture during their initial detention in a security detention center and were later transferred to Bukan Prison. Despite several weeks having passed since their transfer, their temporary release on bail has still been prevented.

Reports indicate that Rahim Shilani and Azad Rasoulifard were deprived of access to a lawyer during the first 52 days of detention, and at the time of this report, no clear information has been published regarding the reasons for their arrest or the charges against them, and security institutions have provided no explanation.
