Bojnord; Death of Maliheh Firouzeh’i by Direct Gunfire During Nationwide Protests

Maliheh Firouzeh’i, a 32-year-old woman from Bojnord, has been identified as another victim of the nationwide protests in the city.

According to Kolbarnews, in January 2026, Maliheh Firouzeh’i was killed after being directly struck in the head by live ammunition fired by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests in the area of “17 Shahrivar Intersection” in Bojnord.

According to received information, her body was handed over to her family with a significant delay, and visible signs of violence were present on her body. Informed sources stated that her hands were broken, her legs had been twisted, multiple pellet wounds were visible on her body, and signs of burns and severe facial injuries were observed.

The body of Maliheh Firouzeh’i was handed over to her family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, but security forces prevented her burial in the city of Bojnord, and she was ultimately buried in the village of “Firouzeh,” a district of Bojnord.

Informed sources also emphasized that her family was placed under pressure by security institutions to declare the cause of her death as “suicide,” but they refused to accept this demand.

Numerous reports have been published regarding the conditional handover of the bodies of protest victims, pressure on families, and the imposition of official narratives regarding the cause of death.
