Bojnord: 28 Days of Detention and No Information on the Fate of Amir Mohammad Sarafraz

Amir Mohammad Sarafraz, a Kurdish Kurmanj young man from Bojnord, has been held in complete incommunicado detention for 28 days following his arbitrary arrest, raising serious concerns among his family about his safety and fate.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, January 12, 2026, Amir Mohammad Sarafraz was arrested by security forces after a raid on his home. He was detained without the presentation of any judicial warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location. Since that time, no information has been made available regarding his place of detention or condition.

Throughout his detention, he has reportedly been completely denied access to legal counsel, telephone contact, and family visitation. The continuation of these conditions has significantly intensified his family’s concerns regarding his physical safety, mental wellbeing, and legal situation.
