Bijar; Death of Abolfazl Dehghani by Direct Gunfire from Government Forces

Abolfazl Dehghani, a 20-year-old citizen from Bijar County, was killed by direct gunfire from government forces during protests in the city, and his body was handed over to his family after security pressure and under imposed conditions.


According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Abolfazl Dehghani, a 20-year-old citizen from Bijar County, lost his life after being directly shot by government suppressive forces during nationwide protests.
Based on information received by Kolbarnews, the body of this deceased citizen was handed over to his family only after intense pressure from security institutions and on the condition that he be introduced as a “Basij member.”

As of the time of preparing this report, the relevant authorities have provided no official response regarding this matter.
