Baneh: Avalanche in Haft-Tash Heights Claims the Lives of Three Mountaineers

An avalanche in the Haft-Tash heights of Baneh trapped six mountaineers, resulting in the death of three of them.

According to Kolbarnews, the avalanche occurred in the Haft-Tash mountains, along the Baneh to Bayan-Darreh route, leading to the disappearance of six climbers. Following rescue operations, three were saved, while three others lost their lives.

The Red Crescent’s Deputy for Rescue Operations stated that the incident took place early on Friday, about 33 kilometers from the Baneh-Marivan road.

After hours of search efforts, local residents helped recover three survivors Shahram Alaei, Bakhtiar Fattahi, and Khalegh Mohammadzadeh who were taken to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, three climbers Karim Ebn-Abbas, Nishtman Daneshmand, and Shahla Rahmani did not survive.
