16 children killed and injured in two mine explosions in Afghanistan.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, March 31, local officials in Ghazni announced that nine children lost their lives due to a mine explosion in the Giro district of this province.

The explosion occurred when the children found a leftover mine from the war and were playing with it.
This is the second deadly mine explosion incident in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours.

Also, in another report, on Sunday afternoon in Khwaja Taltan village, Rabat Sangi district, Herat province, as a result of a mine explosion, two children were killed, and five other children were injured.

According to the United Nations, three million people in Afghanistan live within a one-kilometer radius of mines, improvised explosive devices, and remnants of war explosives.
