Urmia: Worker Dies After Falling From Height

A worker from Khargoosh village in Somay-e Bradost, Urmia, lost his life after falling from a height while working on a construction project.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, a worker named Seyed Fahim Dastbardahan, from Khargoosh village in Somay-e Bradost, Urmia, fell from a height while working on a construction project in Kalehr village.
He died as a result of the severe injuries sustained in the fall.

According to information received by Kolbarnews, the incident occurred under conditions where adequate safety measures were not in place and workplace safety standards had not been observed.
Lack of effective oversight and the absence of essential protective equipment are repeatedly reported as contributing factors in similar workplace accidents.

It is worth noting that in 2024, at least 2,042 workers lost their lives due to work-related accidents, and at least 16,113 workers were injured in workplace incidents.
