Several student news sources in Iran have reported the sexual assault and abduction of a female student by security forces at the Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, in Tehran.
According to Kolbarnews, earlier today, Saturday, November 2, 2024, security forces at the Science and Research Branch of Islamic Azad University in Tehran allegedly assaulted and abducted a female student.
It has been reported that the student, after being harassed by a Basij member due to not wearing a scarf, protested by removing her clothing after her clothing had been torn by security personnel.
Following this incident, the student reportedly attempted to move toward the campus area, where she was once again seized by four security personnel. According to the report, she was forcibly put into a silver Pride 111 (a hatchback model) under physical assault and taken to an undisclosed location.
The report, citing an eyewitness, stated that the student sustained head injuries from being struck against the door or frame of the vehicle, leading to heavy bleeding, with bloodstains visible on the vehicle’s tire.
No information is currently available on the student’s condition, whereabouts, or the location of her detention.
