Tehran: Re-Arrest of Azim Yadegari, a Detainee from the Jina Revolutionary Movement

Azim Yadegari, a 45-year-old citizen from Dehloran and one of the detainees of the Jina Revolutionary Movement, has been re-arrested by security forces in Tehran and transferred to an undisclosed location. He had previously been sentenced by the Islamic Republic’s judiciary to 10 years of discretionary imprisonment.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Azim Yadegari was arrested after multiple summonses related to the enforcement of his prison sentence. He had been detained during the protests along with five other individuals: Mohammadhasan Haseli, Naser Rezaei, Bakhtiar Mohammadzadeh, Farshad Ayini, Hossein Bapirvand, and Saadollah Ayini. Collectively, the six were sentenced to a total of 52 years in prison.

Azim Yadegari’s whereabouts remain unknown at the time of this report.
