The flogging sentence of Mehdi Yarahi, the Iranian singer and composer, was carried out at the Fourth Enforcement Branch in Tehran.
According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Mehdi Yarahi received 74 lashes as per his sentence, which was executed at the Fourth Enforcement Branch of the Tehran Morality Security Prosecutor’s Office.
Zahra Minouei, the artist’s lawyer, stated that with the execution of this punishment, her client’s case has been closed. She explained that this sentence was part of the rulings issued by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.
According to Yarahi’s lawyer, the sentence was issued due to his artistic activities and statements on social media. No further details have been released regarding any other possible rulings or his future status.
