The identity of one of the two Baloch Sukhtbars who lost their lives following a collision between two Sukhtbari vehicles and a widespread fire on the Sirkan–Saravan road has been confirmed.
According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, the identity of one of the two Baloch Sukhtbars who lost their lives in the collision and vehicle fire on the Sirkan–Saravan road was confirmed.
The Sukhtbar was identified as Abdolsalam Dorazeh, 33, son of Emam-Bakhsh, married and father of four children, from Hiduj in Sib and Suran County.
The identity of the other Sukhtbar who lost his life in the incident had not been determined as of the time of publication of this report.
The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, September 10, 2026, when two Sukhtbari vehicles collided on the Sirkan–Saravan road.
Following the collision, both vehicles caught fire extensively.
The intensity of the fire and the injuries sustained in the collision resulted in both Sukhtbars losing their lives inside the vehicles.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars.According to the 2025 annual report of the Baluchistan Human Rights Documentation Network, at least 262 Sukhtbars were killed or injured. Of these, 173 Sukhtbars lost their lives due to gunfire by military forces, road accidents during pursuits by security forces, or explosions caused by mines planted by the IRGC, while 89 others were injured. Four child Sukhtbars were among those killed.
