More than two weeks have passed since the arrest of Zhila Tashakkori and Delir Salimi, a couple from the city of Saqqez, and they remain in detention and legal limbo.
According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Delir Salimi, a resident of Saqqez, was arrested by security forces. Four days later, his wife, Zhila Tashakkori, was also detained and transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison.
The report states that Salimi was arrested on the Saveh highway, and four days later, security forces raided their home, confiscating electronic devices, including his mobile phone and computer.
On Saturday, June 21, Zhila Tashakkori was summoned to the Intelligence Department, where she was subsequently arrested and also transferred to Sanandaj prison.
The lack of information about the couple’s situation has caused growing concern among their families.
