Sanandaj; Temporary Release of Civil Activist Hersh Zandi Navgaran

Hersh Zandi Navgaran, a civil activist from Sanandaj, has been temporarily released from the city’s central prison after posting bail.

According to Kulbarnews, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Hersh Zandi Navgaran, a civil activist and former political prisoner, was temporarily released on bail from Sanandaj Central Prison after a month of detention, pending the completion of legal proceedings.

The 40-year-old resident of Sanandaj was arrested on Monday, January 22, 2025, following a raid by Intelligence Ministry forces on his home and was subsequently transferred to their detention center.

It is worth noting that in 2007, Hersh Zandi Navgaran was sentenced to one year in prison on charges of membership in a Kurdish opposition party against the Islamic Republic.
