Iqbal Shabani, Fardin Miraki, Seyyed Khaled Hosseini, Sheith Amani, Farshid Abdollahi, Susan Razani, and Jamal Asadi, labor and environmental activists in Sanandaj, have been summoned to the second branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in the city.
According to Kolbarnews, a court hearing for the seven activists will soon take place at the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Sanandaj. This morning, they received formal notices summoning them to appear within five days to defend themselves against charges of “disturbing public order” and “propaganda against the regime.”
Iqbal Shasbani, Fardin Miraki, Seyyed Khaled Hosseini, Sheith Amani, and Farshid Abdollahi are labor activists.
Susan Razani and Jamal Asadi are environmental activists.
Most of them were summoned last week by the intelligence department of the Sanandaj police. They were interrogated about their participation in the funeral of the mother of three individuals who died in the Kurdish revolutionary movement, as well as their professional and civil activities.
Notably, these activists have previously been arrested and sentenced for their labor, social, environmental, and women’s rights advocacy.
