Seven members of the Sanandaj Teachers’ Union Board have been summoned to the Administrative Violations Appeals Board of the Ministry of Education. They had previously faced disciplinary rulings issued by the Kurdistan Education Department’s Administrative Violations Committee.

According to Kolbarnews, these seven teachers are scheduled to appear before the Appeals Board at the Ministry of Education in late March. If the initial rulings are upheld, they will become final and enforceable.
In May 2024, the Kurdistan Education Administrative Violations Committee opened cases against: Mohyeddin Reyhani, Leila Zarei, Nasrin Karimi, Faisal Nouri,Salah Haji-Mirzaei, Majid Karimi, Ghiyas Nemati
These individuals were suspended from their jobs for three months, barred from entering educational institutions, and had 70% of their salaries cut. After defense hearings and submission of evidence, the committee issued various punitive rulings, including dismissal, forced retirement, exile, suspension, and job restrictions.
Leila Zarei (30 years of service): Demoted from her position as a school deputy and forced into early retirement with a one-level job rank reduction.
Nasrin Karimi (26 years of service): Forced into early retirement with a two-level job rank reduction.
Faisal Nouri (19 years of service): Exiled to Kermanshah province for five years.
Salah Haji-Mirzaei (26 years of service): One-year suspension from duty.
Mohyeddin Reyhani (26 years of service): Banned from holding sensitive government positions for five years.
Majid Karimi (21 years of service): Dismissed and permanently banned from government employment.
Ghiyas Nemati (17 years of service): Permanently dismissed from the Education Ministry.
If these rulings are upheld in the appeals process, they will be considered final and legally binding.
