Sanandaj: Release of Aida Amouei, Civil and Women’s Rights Activist

Aida Amouei, a civil and women’s rights activist from Sanandaj, has been released from prison on bail of 6 billion tomans.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, February 3, 2025, Aida Amouei was freed after 17 days of detention by security agencies. Her release was granted upon posting a 6-billion-toman bail.

Aida Amouei was arrested by security forces at her workplace on Saturday, January 18, 2025, and was transferred to an undisclosed location. Reports indicate that she had been repeatedly threatened and summoned by security agencies in the days leading up to her arrest.
