Ebrahim Mohammadi, a political prisoner in Sanandaj Prison, who has been on hunger strike, was transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

According to Kolbarnews, Ebrahim Mohammadi was moved to solitary confinement in Sanandaj Prison on Saturday. He has been on hunger strike since January 31, 2025, in protest against his prison sentence.
On January 1, 2024, Mohammadi was arrested by the Sanandaj Intelligence Office. He was released on January 6, 2024, after posting bail.
On February 9, 2024, Branch 1 of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court sentenced him to one year in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”
His appeal was rejected on June 11, 2024, by Branch 13 of the Kurdistan Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Sadegh Hatami and Advisor Fereydoun Rostami.
On December 18, 2024, he was re-arrested to serve his prison sentence in Sanandaj Prison.
Mohammadi’s transfer to solitary confinement has raised concerns about his health, given his ongoing hunger strike.
