Sanandaj: Labor Activist Zanyar Dabbaghian Summoned by Sanandaj Intelligence Office

On the verge of International Workers’ Day, pressure on labor activists in Iran has intensified.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Zanyar Dabbaghian, a labor activist and former political prisoner, was summoned to the Intelligence Office in Sanandaj.
Reports indicate that the summons came through a phone call from security forces, requesting his presence at the office.

Zanyar Dabbaghian has previously been repeatedly interrogated and summoned by the Ministry of Intelligence and has a history of arrest due to his labor and political activism.

This latest summons comes amid a tightening security atmosphere across Iran in the lead-up to May 1st, International Workers’ Day, with growing pressure on labor activists in various regions.
