Sanandaj: Interrogation Session Held for Six Labor and Environmental Activists

An interrogation session for Eqbal Shabani, Fardin Mirki, Seyed Khaled Hosseini, Sheith Amani, Sosan Razani, and Jamal Asadi, labor and environmental activists, was held in the Second Investigation Branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Sanandaj. Following the charges being explained, they were released on bail.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, the interrogation session for these six activists took place. During the session, which was held at the Second Investigation Branch of Sanandaj’s Prosecutor’s Office, the activists defended themselves against allegations of “propaganda against the regime” and “disturbing public opinion.”

The report states that these activists were released on bail after the charges were formally explained. They had previously been summoned to the mentioned judicial authority, along with Farshid Abdollahi, via formal notices.

Eqbal Shabani, Fardin Mirki, Seyed Khaled Hosseini, and Sheith Amani are labor activists in Sanandaj, while Sosan Razani and Jamal Asadi are environmental activists in the city. Most of them were summoned by Sanandaj’s Police Intelligence last week, where they were questioned about their participation in the funeral of the mother of one of the victims of the Kurdistan Revolutionary Movement, as well as their labor and civil activities.
