According to Kolbarnews, citing the channel of the Coordinating Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, the court session for 10 teacher union activists was held.
According to the report, the hearing for the charges against Mohammadreza Moradi, Mokhtar Asadi, Seyed Ghiyas Ne’mati, Reza Tahmasbi, Majid Karimi, Salah Hajimirzaei, Shahriyar Naderi, Aram Ebrahimi, Sadegh Kan’ani, and Behzad Ghavami took place in Branch 109 of the Sanandaj Criminal Court. These educators defended themselves against the charge of “disturbing public order and peace.”
Previously, they had been summoned to the court alongside five other teachers after receiving formal notifications.
On March 12, 2025, the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Sanandaj had issued an indictment against these union activists. Their participation in teacher protest gatherings in June 2022 led to the opening of this judicial case.
