On the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day, a group of freedom-seeking and equality-driven women and men in Sanandaj held a ceremony to mark the day.
According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, March 7, 2025, a large number of pro-freedom and pro-equality women and men in Sanandaj gathered for a grand ceremony in honor of International Women’s Day.
During the event, participants chanted slogans in support of women’s rights, read statements, and carried out various programs emphasizing the need for full gender equality and the elimination of all forms of discrimination and inequality.
This ceremony took place despite increased security pressures, as in the past two days, more than ten labor and women’s rights activists in Sanandaj had been summoned, interrogated, and threatened by security agencies due to their involvement in March 8-related activities.
