Following a collision between a Baluch Sukhtbai vehicle and a tanker truck in Rask county, one student and one Baluch Sukhtbar were killed and injured.
According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday,April 13, as a result of a collision between a Saipa Sukhtbar and a tanker truck, and its fall into a valley on the road between Sarbaz and Rask, a 17-year-old Baluch student lost his life and the driver was injured.
The identity of the deceased student, “Yousef Payedar,” 17 years old, son of Abdolsetar, resident of Firuzabad village in the suburbs of Rask county, who attended the eleventh grade at the Alameh Tabatabai School in Rask, has been confirmed by local sources.
The identity and condition of the injured Sukhtbar, who was also the driver of the vehicle, are not available at the time of this report.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have resorted to out of lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturning, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars in this profession. According to reports from Baloch activists in 2023, at least 172 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, and 42 others were injured in these incidents, including 11 children
