According to Kolbarnews, Monday, June 2, 2025 two citizens from Oshnavieh named Yaser Sharifian and Omid Ebrahimi were temporarily released from the city’s prison after posting bail of one billion tomans each.
These two individuals had been arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, May 7, 2025, by security forces at their private residences without a court warrant. No official information has yet been released regarding the reason for their arrest or the possible charges against them.
Their temporary release comes amid ongoing arbitrary detentions and pressure on political and social activists in Kurdistan.
