Naqadeh Prison: One Citizen Sentenced to Imprisonment

Ayoub Damavandi, a resident of Piranshahr, has been sentenced to five years and 15 days of imprisonment by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad.

According to Kolbarnews, Mr. Damavandi was convicted of “espionage for Israel” by Judge “Doosti.” He has filed an appeal against the court’s ruling.

Mr. Damavandi was arrested on August 2, 2024, by IRGC forces without a judicial warrant and transferred to a security detention center in Urmia. After a month of interrogation, he was moved to Naqadeh Prison.

Ayoub Damavandi is a resident of the village of “Dilzeh,” located near Piranshahr.
