Haji Barzeh, a resident of Piranshahr, has been sentenced to five months in prison and fined 15 million tomans.
According to Kolbarnews, Barzeh was convicted by a judicial authority on charges of “propaganda against the regime,” resulting in the prison term, and “spreading falsehoods,” leading to the fine.
Haji Barzeh was arrested on May 8, 2024, at his workplace without a judicial warrant by security forces. He was released temporarily on June 7, 2024, after posting bail.
Haji Barzeh is the brother of Bapir Barzeh, a political prisoner currently held in Naqadeh Prison.
