A 15-year-old Baloch student lost his life in a traffic accident while working as a kolbar at the Mirjaveh border.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, February 13, 2025, a student named Hamid Gomshadzahi, son of Mehrab, from Rig Malek, Mirjaveh, died in a road accident in the Lolkdan border area. Hamid, who was studying at a local school, was forced to work as a Kolbar after school to help support his family and cover his education expenses.
Local sources confirm that due to widespread poverty, many students in Sistan and Baluchestan must work after school. In February 2022, Mohammadreza Salari, the principal of an elementary school in Hajiabad, told ILNA that many students were forced into labor to support their families. He stated:
“We have 700 students in the morning shift and 300 in the afternoon. Most of our students work in local workshops after school to help their families.”
