Malekshahi: 25 Days of Detention and No Information on the Fate of Sikan Roshani and Soleiman Gerami

Twenty-five days after the arbitrary arrest of two Kurdish citizens from Malekshahi County in Ilam Province, there is still no information about their fate or place of detention, raising serious concerns among their families about their safety.

According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, January 15, 2026, Sikan Roshani and Soleiman Gerami were arrested by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location. Since their arrest, no information has been released regarding their condition or whereabouts.

During their detention, both individuals have reportedly been completely deprived of access to legal counsel as well as contact or visitation with their families, further increasing concerns about their wellbeing and legal status.
