Twelve citizens from Mahabad, including Rahman Dana, Salar Shamsi Borhan, Rebwar Rasouli, Ayoub Rasouli, Othman (Shwana) Jahanifar, Yousef Qal, Aram Mabzoleh, Zaniar Seyed Ahmadi, Siamand Seyed Ahmadi, Kader Khorramfar, Kamal Masoudi, and Jalal Sadefi, were detained by security forces in recent days and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Saturday, December 14, 2024, security forces in Mahabad raided the family homes of Rahman Dana and Salar Shamsi Borhan, two residents from the village of “Koulijeh” in Mahabad, and arrested them before transferring them to an unknown location.
In a separate report, on the morning of Sunday, December 15, 2024, two brothers, Rebwar Rasouli and Ayoub Rasouli, were detained by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Mahabad. At the same time, security forces raided the family home of Osman (Shwana) Jahanifar and arrested him.
Later on Sunday, December 15, 2024, seven more citizens, Yousef Qal, Aram Mabzoleh, Zaniar Seyed Ahmadi, Siamand Seyed Ahmadi from the village of “Bayram” in Mahabad, and Kader Khorramfar, Kamal Masoudi, and Jalal Sadefi were also arrested by local security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
The report mentions that the security forces did not provide any legal warrants for the arrests. According to informed sources, these twelve individuals were transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation.
