Mahabad: Continued Detention and Uncertainty of Khaled Mehmandoost in Prison

Khaled Mehmandoost, a resident of Mahabad, remains in indefinite detention in the city’s prison despite being arrested over a hundred days ago.

According to Kolbarnews, Khaled Mehmandoost has been held in Ward 4 of Mahabad Prison without any clarity on his situation for over a hundred days since his arrest. 

He was arrested by IRGC intelligence officers in late February 2024 and was subsequently transferred to their detention center. 

Khaled Mehmandoost was deprived of the ability to make phone calls or meet with his family for three months and was finally transferred to Mahabad Prison after the interrogation process was completed.

As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges against him.
