Mahabad; Arrest of Two Citizens Including a 17-Year-Old Teenager

Two citizens from Mahabad, including a 17-year-old teenager, were arrested following raids by security forces on their homes in the village of “Kouseh Kahriz” and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Tuesday, May 12, 2026, security forces affiliated with the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC raided the homes of two citizens from the village of “Kouseh Kahriz,” a district of Mahabad, and arrested them without presenting judicial warrants. The identities of these two citizens have been confirmed as “Mikaeil (Shouresh) Doudkanlou Milan,” 40 years old and married, and “Ehsan Khorramabad,” a 17-year-old teenager.

According to information received by Kolbarnews, these arrests were carried out between 3 and 5 a.m., and after searching the houses, the security forces transferred the two citizens to an undisclosed location.

At the time of publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrests or the charges brought against these two Kurdish citizens, and the security institutions have provided no explanation in this regard.

Additionally, the families and relatives of these two citizens remain unaware of their place of detention, physical condition, and circumstances during detention.
