Forty workers have been laid off from the Aria Steel Factory in Ardestan County.

According to Kolbarnews, due to reduced operating hours at the Aria Steel Factory caused by electricity imbalances, 40 workers from this industrial unit have been dismissed. The move has sparked significant discontent among the laid-off workers and their families.
One of the dismissed workers, “Mohammad,” who has six years of experience at the factory, said:
“Yesterday, the factory manager told us not to come to work starting today. He said there’s a power problem and they can’t pay wages. I have loan payments, my wife needs medication, and now after years of working, I don’t know where to look for a job.”
Another worker, “Abolfazl,” criticized local authorities, saying:
“Why don’t city officials ever visit Aria Steel Factory to see our problems? Why don’t the governor or the parliamentary representative do anything to fix the factory’s power issue? The worker is left helpless and unemployed.”
This incident comes amid widespread power supply issues affecting many industries across Iran in recent months. As of now, no official response has been issued by local authorities or factory management regarding the layoffs.
