A worker from Sarab Yas village in Khorramabad lost his life due to a technical failure of a crane and the sudden fall of an iron billet at the steel factory.
According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, June 20, 2024, “Milad Kamali,” a 30-year-old worker from SarabYas village in Khorramabad, died while working at the “Sarab Changaei” steel workshop.
Reports indicate that this tragic accident occurred due to a technical failure of the crane, causing a 24-ton iron billet to fall suddenly on Mr. Kamali’s head. Unfortunately, the impact was so severe that the young worker died instantly.
It is noteworthy that in the year 2023, a total of 2,115 workers (2,094 men and 21 women) lost their lives in work-related accidents. This marks an 11.3 percent increase compared to the previous year, which had 1,900 fatalities.
