Kamiyaran; Six Days Without Information on the Condition of Hersh Sharifian Following Arrest by Security Forces

Hersh Sharifian, a 17-year-old teenager from the village of Palangan in Kamiyaran County, remains in an uncertain condition six days after his arrest, while his family has no information regarding his whereabouts or fate.

According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Saturday, June 6, 2026, security forces raided the family home of Hersh Sharifian in the village of Palangan without presenting any judicial warrant and attempted to arrest the Kurdish teenager.
According to obtained information, the agents broke down the front door and entered the house during the operation, but were unable to arrest him because he was not present at the time.
Following the raid, security forces instructed the family to have their son report himself to the Kamiyaran Intelligence Department.

According to an informed source, Hersh Sharifian was arrested after appearing at the Kamiyaran Intelligence Department and was transferred to an undisclosed location. Since the time of his arrest, he has been deprived of access to legal counsel, contact with his family, and visits with relatives.

Despite the passage of six days since the teenager’s arrest, the responsible authorities have provided no explanation regarding his place of detention or his physical and legal condition. The reasons for his arrest and any possible charges against him have also not been announced.
