Iranshahr: A Baloch Sukhtbar Dies Following a Vehicle Accident

A Baloch Sukhtbar lost his life after his Peugeot 405 collided with a camel in the Chaheshur area on the Iranshahr–Delgan road.

According to Kolbarnews, quoting local sources in Balochistan, on Monday night, November 24, 2025, a Baloch Sukhtbar died after his Peugeot 405 struck a camel in the Chaheshur area on the Iranshahr–Delgan route.

The identity of the deceased Baloch Sukhtbar has been confirmed as Hadi Restar, 25 years old, son of Shanbeh, married, and a resident of Chah Khodabakhsh village in Delgan County.

According to the report, Hadi was traveling from Delgan toward Iranshahr when, at around 20:30, he collided with a camel. Due to the intensity of the crash, he lost control of his vehicle, which overturned and caused severe injuries, leading to his death.

Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars. According to reports from Baloch activists, in the year 2024, at least 375 Baloch Sukhtbars have been injured or lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires. Of this number, 240 Sukhtbars were killed and 135 were injured, representing a 55% increase in the number of killed and injured Sukhtbars compared to the year 2023.
