Afshin Hosseinpanahi, a civil activist and brother of executed political prisoner Ramin Hosseinpanahi, has been arrested by intelligence forces.
According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, security forces detained Afshin Hosseinpanahi at his workplace. They subsequently raided his home, behaving unlawfully and offensively toward his wife while searching the premises.
Afshin Hosseinpanahi has been arrested multiple times in previous years due to his civil activism. His most recent arrest occurred five years ago, during which he spent a lengthy period in prison.
His brother, Ramin Hosseinpanahi, a political prisoner, was executed in 2018 alongside two other political prisoners.
