Continued detention and uncharged imprisonment of Sharifeh Mohammadi in Lakan Prison.

Sharifeh Mohammadi, a labor activist residing in Rasht, despite 128 days passing since her arrest, is still being detained without charges in Lakan Prison in this city.

According to Kolbarnews, labor activist Sharifeh Mohammadi remains in detention. Although her case investigation has concluded, the case investigator has extended her detention.

On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, Sharifeh Mohammadi, a labor activist and member of the Coordination Committee to Assist in the Formation of Labor Organizations, was transferred from her personal residence in Rasht to the secret detention center of the Intelligence Department of this city after her house was searched and personal belongings were confiscated.

Prior to this, some sources close to Sharifeh Mohammadi’s family had described her detention situation as concerning.

After 26 days of detention and being kept incommunicado on Saturday, December 30, 2023, she had informed her family of her transfer to this #prison through a phone call from #Sanandaj Central Prison.

It is worth mentioning that Sharifeh Mohammadi was transferred from Sanandaj Central Prison to the Intelligence Department of Sanandaj city for interrogation on Thursday, January 11, 2024, and upon her return to prison, other inmates had witnessed severe bruising, redness, and inflammation on her eyes and face, indicating severe torture by her interrogators.
