Shahab Moradi, a steel rebar worker, lost his life after falling from a six-story building during work in Boukan.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Shahab Moradi, a 39-year-old married master craftsman and resident of Boukan, tragically died after falling from the height of a six-story building while performing rebar work. Moradi, a father of one, fell for unknown reasons while on the job. The severity of the accident led to his immediate death.
In 2023, a total of 2,115 workers (2,094 men and 21 women) died due to work-related accidents, marking an 11.3% increase compared to the previous year, which saw 1,900 fatalities.
Iran ranks 102nd globally in workplace safety—a very low position—making it one of the most dangerous countries for worker safety. Every year, a significant number of workers are injured or killed due to a lack of workplace safety standards.
