According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, Edris Hajirassoulpour and Hemin Ebrahim-Hamzeh, two citizens of Bukan, were temporarily released from Bukan prison on bail pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
According to the report, these two citizens were transferred to a security detention center in Urmia after their arrest and later moved to Bukan prison after the interrogation process was completed.
On Thursday, May 9, 2024, Hemin Ebrahim-Hamzeh from the village of Qareh Gol, a suburb of Bukan, and Edris Hajirasoulpour, the brother of Mohammad Hajirasoulpour, who was killed during the nationwide protests in 2022, were arrested by security forces.
In the month of September, 2022, Mohammad Hajirasoulpour, who was detained during the nationwide protests in 2022, tragically lost his life in November of the same year due to pressures during his detention by security authorities at the Hospital in Bukan city.
